Summer is here and the shoes that have been my go-to this season, so far, are Comfortiva’s “Cayce” sandals. I’ve been looking for a cute, slide sandal that was also comfortable for almost a year and then these cuties popped up in my instagram feed! So needless to say, I FOUND THEM and they’re so versatile and sooo comfortable. I got them in black because I usually prefer one tone over multicolored straps, and I felt they would go with almost everything. And I was right! I wear them with casual dresses, shorts, and jeans (so basically, my whole summer wardrobe).
This is my first time purchasing a shoe from the “Comfortiva” brand and I must say, I’m pretty impressed. This shoe is made primarily of a rubbery cork material. However, it has a flexible rubber outsole along with Comfortiva’s notorious, pillow top footbed that feels like puffy clouds on the bottom of your feet. There’s added arch support made from the rubbery cork material, so for those of you who have high arches like me, this shoe is perfect for you. And the arch is actually subtle enough to where I think it would be comfortable for most foot types. For me, everything seems to hit all the right places. The material of the straps felt a little scratchy on the top of my foot at first. However, after just 1 or 2 times of wearing them, they felt perfectly fine. I would even venture to say, that these may now be the comfiest sandals in my closet.
I think the Cayce is a great replacement for a Birkenstock, as it has the correct support. I actually prefer these over the Birkenstock because of their more feminine style, versatility, and they just plain feel better (I find Birkenstocks too hard and I wouldn’t recommend them for anyone who has flare-up issues). I also have to add that the Comfortiva brand seems to be slightly more affordable than other comfort brands, so that’s definitely a HUGE plus in my book!
So if you’re looking for a very now, very trendy, comfortable slide sandal, I highly recommend the Cayce.
