Hey guys… I’ve found the cushiest, cutest shower mat! And it’s SUPER affordable.
One of the hardest things to do when I first injured my feet was to stand barefoot in the shower. Shower floors tend to be made of very unforgiving materials and for sensitive or injured feet, it’s hard to work around. Everyday, I dreaded taking a shower. Even after limiting myself to 15 minutes, I would still have to sit for almost an hour until the bruising feeling subsided.
I had people suggest wearing flip flops in the shower (which I’ve heard works for some). But this sounded like a hassle and I wanted to find a better way. Then my mom sent me this cushy “Cloud” bath mat and it really helped. The plastic, woven micro fibers are squishy-soft and conform to your feet for added cushion and support.
It’s shaped like a cloud too, so it happens to look pretty cute and plush on your shower floor. The spun hydrophobic mat fibers promote water flow and inhibit the growth of odor and stain-causing bacteria.
The only downside of this product is that on some surfaces, the suction cups aren’t so sturdy. So you may need to be a little careful. This mat also comes in different versions and sizes. The larger one is the one I used for years and loved. The one above is a smaller version that works better for my shower now. However, the cups are not as sticky on the smaller one, but I am able to make it work with the more rough stone surface of our shower floor.
Hope this post was helpful to some of you!
